Ok school wise the next two terms are going to be mad hectic! There are three projects that I’ve had the fortune to work on. One is a Short Film called Cubical 121 about a computer that falls in love with a insurance salesman. Then there’s a really fun promo for a fellow student’s demo for a hour long drama called Red Zone. And last but certainly not least is an really awesome web series called 1st month rent that’s in development. It’s going to be an awesome summer.

It’s been a while since I have produced a film in fact it’s almost been a year. But now I finally got off my ass and wrote a pilot of a Comedy web series that focuses on two college friends and their zombified friend as they barricade themselves in their Anthropology professor’s house called The Fort. So now it’s on to the next step finding funding! Stay tuned as I send updates on the series.

It’s May and just past the year mark when I created this blog. Being in Vancouver studying screenwriting has helped me become a better filmmaker. Over the past eight months I have written seven major script projects and some how managed to balance doing side projects in various stages of production(some in the on the steps of production and one has been in post production hell). The main thing that I have noticed being a young grad student on the verge of graduation is that you always have to be on the move. At one time you can juggle 8 projects at once but if those projects just sit on your hard drive or shown only in you living room it’s not going to help you get out there. But on the same end whatever medium(theater,web series, short film, feature or any other format) just keep focus on a few projects and just make sure they are the best you got.

Things that make me say…..AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH shit.

This is crazy I started this blog a little over a year ago and only posted 8 articles… fail. Anyways now that’s going to change. April has been a crazy month for the world all around: RIP Virgina Miners(US Government get your act together and promote cleaner/ safer ways to get energy that will bring new jobs), Obama signing the Nuclear Treaty, Tiger’s back! Oh and lets not forget the latest in tech crack the iPad. But the craziest part is that it’s the second half of Term 4 for the WR32 class at VFS. It’s been a really fun term where we have our live sketch show(If you’re in Vancouver BC come check it out.) Plus we’re gearing up for our port shorts. But aside from that I got two side projects that I’m really psyched about. A teaser for a dark comedy pilot and I finally worte out the pilot to my Zombie web series. Yess! But the hardest thing for me this term has been rewirting my feature. I’ve changed the theme to my workshop’s whims in the last term so now it’s not my story but rather some one elses. But I woke up at 3 am today and wrote out a rewrite plan on my window with a dry erase. So I’m back baby! Whoot I’ll post more two now that I finally mastered my iphone and my really cool flock web browser.

Term two is upon me. Overall the term is exciting. I just started working on four diffrent ideas. First, my Leverage spec… I started writing the teaser and first act. Its been fun but at Some points it is like wrestleing with a silver back gorilla in heat. I don’t have a script to base my format and act breaks off of which is a blessing in some aspects but a curse in others. Aside from my spec I’m devolping an animated series that’s wicked and writing a spec Kid vs Kat episode. Then there’s my two feature ideas I’m outlineing them right now all I have to say is that in one of the ideas a 15 year old fries a thug with a pool and an extesion cord… Awesome right? Oh and on a personal project I’m in the process of delvoping a Zombie web series. Thank god for caffiene!
Oh yeah it’s movember = I’m frowning a stache or at least trying too.

So BCS has relocated to Vancouver. I got into the VFS screenwriting program and will be entrenched in the wonderful world of writing for a year! But don’t fret there will be New updates constantly on the progress of our projects. Stay tuned two new short web features will hit our vimeo page by the end of the month.

So its been a while since my last post. That has to do with a lot of new stuff happing around school film and life. I(Brennan ) got in to Vancouver film school and start hopefully by the winter. And right now for the first month of summer I am editing a short film for my internship at BAYCAT( an amazing production studio in dogpatch). But there will be some awesome and new updates for BCS after picture lock for this short film. Stay tuned and thanks for reading.

Howdy Folks!!

I know it has been long over due and thankfully we are in no need of a bail out(BCS is fueled by Ramin and grits).So I have been bouncing around an idea for a web/video project for this summer with the getting the viewer’s involved in creating the content. And I figured why not make a internet sketch show. The programing will consist of two parts. A staff written sketch and a community pitched sketch. Meaning that the you good people of the internet send us pitches for a 2-3 minute sketch. We will chose one a week and write,shoot, edit,and publish the piece by the end of that week. So far I have gotten 3 people on board with the idea. Check back for the release date of the site and when to send an idea.

Happy New Year Everyone!! Well 2009 will be an interesting year for BCS this summer we are will have a weekly short released on our Vimeo channel and hopefully we will be entering the Insomnia Film fest this year!!! So stay tuned for more updates on our latest projects.
